To make a long story short in exactly 1 year my husband and I went into $11,000 in credit card debt. I make every payment on time but sometimes can only make the min. payments and we have 6 credit cards. Does anyone have any info on debt consolidation loans? ...

Most debt consolidation companies do nothing better than simply ruin your fico score in order to settle your debt. If you really want to work with an agency that will help you reduce your debt, contact a company member of "CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICES" (CCCS)

I have been searching for almost two months to no avail. Are there no legitimate lenders that perform Debt Consolidation Loans? I am not looking for a Home Equity Loan, I mean a loan to "replace" my high interest loans and credit cards with one affordable monthly payment?
